Robert S. Pollard, Sr., age 69, of Saegertown passed away on Friday evening, July 3, 2026.
He was born on September 18, 1956, the son of Denver C. and Elizabeth M. (Hood) Pollard.
Robert spent his high school years in England before returning to the United States, where he proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Nimitz. Following his military service, he was employed as a Reactor Operator at Lord Corporation for more than 20 years.
On March 21, 1984, Robert married the former Bonita (Bonnie) Sue Lewis, she passed away on April 26, 1996.
Robert was member of the Saegertown American Legion Post #205 and Cambridge Springs American Legion Post #38. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time hunting, and lending a helping hand to his best friend, Jason, on the farm. He was known for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and willingness to help others whenever he could.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Pollard of Little Rock, AR; a daughter, Emily Pollard of Titusville; a son, Robert Pollard (Ariel Jordan) of Meadville; two brothers, Bryan Pollard (Cheri) of Harrison AR, Steven Pollard of Little Rock, AR; best friend Jason Smith (Carrie); and two adopted grandchildren, Connor and Colby Smith.
He is preceded in death by his father, wife of 12 years, a brother, David Pollard, and sister-in-law, Mary Pollard.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 4:00 PM- 6:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC., 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE, where the Meadville VFW Post #2006 will render military honors at 4:00 PM.
