Robert W. Baird, Jr.

Robert W. Baird, Jr., 67, of Meadville, died at home on Monday, March 26, 1990.

He was born in Romney, WV, on April 1, 1922, a son of Robert W. and Avery Heiskell Baird, Sr.  He married Edith May Shannon on December 22, 1946.  She preceded him in death on September 25, 1986.

He was a personnel manager for ARINC, a research corporation of Annapolis, MD, retiring in 1975.  He previously was a US Air Force chief master sergeant, retiring in 1964 after 26 years service.  He was a member of American Legion 91, Romney; and Moose Lodge, Romney.

Survivors include his mother, Avery Baird, Charleston, WV; two sons, Robert W. Baird III of Wilmington, DE and Thomas B. Baird of Meadville; a sister, Avery Baird, Charleston, WV; and four grandchildren.

Interment was in Arlington National Cemetery.
