Rodger W. Brocklehurst

Rodger W. Brocklehurst, 74 of Greenville, passed away on September 24, 2024 at Meadville Medical Center. Rodger was born in Greenville on August 9, 1950 to the late Francis and Virginia (Fulmer) Brocklehurst. He attended Greenville schools and went on to work at H&H Materials in Stoneboro and then owned and operated his company Custom Crushing LTD. He loved his work and his career and the many friends he made over the years.

Rodger enjoyed the outdoors going hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved family gatherings and enjoying a family picnic. Most of all he loved his children, and grandchildren, especially spoiling his grandchildren every chance he could.

He married his beloved wife of 56 years: Sheila (Gill) Brocklehurst on September 16, 1968, she survives at home. Also surviving are his children: Nelson (Laura) Brocklehurst of Greenville, and Jo Legare-Frye (Nicholas) of Greenville, grandchildren: Lidia, William, RandiJo, KatieSue, Sloane, Zachary, Brayden, NikkiAnn, Noah, Drew, MaciJane, and GladyaLee, a sister: Linda Swogger, an aunt: Myrene Marks, a cousin: Carrie (Bill) Kerola, brothers-in-law: Robert (Kathy) Gills, and Thomas Gill, and sisters-in-law: Nancy Barnes, Elizabeth Kirkpatrick, Christine (Harry) Dagen

In addition to his parents, Rodger was preceded in death by his grandson: Gabriel. And 3 sisters: Carol Brocklehurst, Evelyn Bickel, and an infant sister.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND BLACK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. 99 Franklin Street, Stoneboro, where visitation will be from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Monday, September 30. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, October 1, at 11 am at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Hadley Cemetery.
