Roy E. Hayes

Roy E. Hayes, 73, of Guys Mills, died Saturday, November 22, 1986, at Meadville Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born in Vienna, OH, January 31, 1913, a son of Newell and Catherine Nolan Hayes. He married Constance "Connie" Hayes July 5, 1947.
Mr. Hayes retired as a machine operator at Talon, Inc. after 40 years of service. He had also been a self-employed part-time dairy farmer. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army Air Corps in Europe. He was a member of Meadville Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Meadville Club.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, James Tomey of Boston, Francis Hayes of Guys Mills and Michael Hayes Phoenix, AZ; a nephew; four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Francis Hayes.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
