Ruth A. Byham

Mrs. Ruth A. Byham, 86, North Park Manor, formerly of Guys Mills, widow of Rae M. Byham, died Monday, January 2, 1984, at the nursing home after a brief illness.
She was born at Guys Mills, August 22, 1897, a daughter of William and Sarah Oakes Oakes.
Her husband, whom she married December 15, 1915, preceded her in death November 19, 1976.
She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women at the church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clair (Marjorie) Burchard of Guys Mills; three sons, Kenneth O. Byham of Guys Mills, Howard R. Byham of Guys Mills and Ralph A. Byham of Franklin; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, a brother and a grandson.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
