Ruth A. Walton

Ruth A. Walton, 78, of Meadville, died Sunday, December 3, 2000 at Meadville Medical Center following an illness of the past year.

She was born in East Mead Township, December 12, 1921, a daughter of the late Earl and Mable Waid Walton.  She was a graduate of Randolph-East Mead High School, Guys Mills, and had been employed as a waitress at the Lamplighter Restaurant for 50 years.  She especially enjoyed bowling and golfing.

She is survived by an uncle and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by one brother, John Walton and two nephews, Ed and Bob Walton.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment of cremated remains was in Wayland Cemetery.
