Ruth Anne Ahl

Ruth Anne Ahl, age 77, of Meadville passed away Thursday morning May 15, 2025, in Meadville Medical Center.

She was born in Ashtabula, OH on October 12, 1947, and was a daughter of Millard and Evelyn (Reiser) King.

She was a 1965 graduate of Union City High School and on March 10, 1973, Ruth married Martin D. Ahl, he survives. She was a member of Trinity Global Methodist Church, Conneaut Lake.

Ruth was employed as secretary to the superintendent and was a school board secretary. She then became the secretary at Trinity Lutheran Church in Meadville for 25 years.

Ruth especially loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband of 52 years, she is survived by a daughter, Leanne Dewyer and her husband Christopher of Olmsted Township, OH; a son, Matthew Ahl and his wife Leslie of Zelienople, PA; two sisters, Ella Camplese (Donald Kemmer) of Austinburg, OH, Laura Hewit (Maynard) of Canton, OH; four grandchildren, Mason and Sydney Ahl, Ava and Lyla Dewyer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Robert King.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Trinity Global Methodist Church, 240 N. 3rd St., Conneaut Lake with Rev. Keith McIlwain, Pastor of the church, officiating. Family and friends will be received at ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC. 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD. CONNEAUT LAKE on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Inurnment will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Jefferson, OH.
