Ruth Ann Amdal

Ruth Ann Amdal, 86, of Saegertown, died Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born April 10, 1936 in Meadville, a daughter of William F. and Nellie Cross Hogue.  She married Donald B. Amdal August 30, 1980 and he preceded her in death November 19, 1990.

Ruth was a 1955 graduate of Meadville High School.  She worked at W.T. Grant Company and Dewey  Office Supply as a sales clerk.

Ruth was a member of The Epiphany of the Lord Parish.  She enjoyed reading, doing crafts, bowling in various leagues over the years, and her dog Scrubby.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Donald, Malcolm, Robert, Walter, Victor, and Fred Hogue and four sisters, Rita Grace Hogue, Betty Carr, Genevieve Mastrianna, and Margaret Baker.

Calling hour will be Monday, July 11th from 10-11 a.m. at The Epiphany of the Lord Parish, St. Agatha Church, 353 Pine St., Meadville where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Joseph Petrone as Celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Agatha Cemetery.
