Ruth Bertram

Mrs. Ruth Bertram, 89, formerly of Little Cooley, died Thursday, December 28, 1978, at Grandview Health Care Center, Titusville, where she had been a patient for three years.

Born in Teepleville, Richmond Township, August 3, 1889, she was a daughter of Frank and Helen McDuff Morse.  She was first married to Wallace J. Walker, then to Dr. William Gamble and last to Francis Bertram.  All preceded her in death.  A 1908 graduate of the former Edinboro State Normal School, she taught school in Richmond Township and Detroit suburban schools.  She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include three sons, F. Morse Walker of Findley Lake, NY, Wallace (Jack) Walker of Titusville and Byron Walker of Miami, FL; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held at the Robert W. Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in North Richmond Cemetery.
