Ruth J. Belvin
February 13, 1919 — March 28, 1990
Ruth J. Belvin, 71, of Meadville, died at Meadville Medical Center Wednesday, March 28, 1990, after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Williamsport on February 13, 1919, a daughter of Thomas and Emma Strong Beers. She married Major Leonard Belvin, who preceded her in death on December 8, 1974.
She was briefly employed at Goodyear Aerospace in Akron, OH. She was a graduate of East High School, Akron, OH.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Pamela) Watters of Meadville and Elizabeth Starr Belvin of Baton Rogue, LA; one son, Robert Hall of Akron, OH; two brothers, Leroy Beers of Altamonte Springs, FL and Carlton Beers of Las Vegas, NV; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Bretzen and Freida Massaro; and two brothers, Freddy and Eddy Beers.
Services were held at Robert W. Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
