Ruth M. Ellis

Ruth M. Ellis, 77, of Hartstown, died Sunday, November 7, 1999 at her residence following a sudden illness.

She was born February 4, 1922 in Erie, a daughter of the late John and Myrtle Burge Hughes.  She married Wilford C. Ellis July 3, 1942.  He survives.

She was a homemaker and member of the former Hartstown Grange for over 50 years.  She enjoyed cooking, knitting and crocheting.

She was a member of Hartstown Presbyterian Church.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two sons, Jack W. Ellis (Sally) of Linesville and Gerald G. Ellis (Jean) of Conneaut Lake; a sister, Mrs. Wallace  (Shirley) Irwin of Meadville; eight grandchildren, Teri Jo Ellis, Susan J. Farrell, Christopher J., Michael, Raymond, Richard, Gerald, Jr. and James Ellis and four great-grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in McMichael Cemetery, East Fallowfield Township.
