Ruth N. Starn, 86, of Meadville, died unexpectedly Friday, October 14, 1994, at her home.
She was born in Barberton, OH, April 7, 1908, a daughter of Daniel and Julia Willems Rose. She married Gleason W. Starn in 1929. He preceded her in death May 15, 1980.
She was a homemaker.
She taught school for a year in Doylestown, OH.
She was a member of Stone United Methodist Church and its choir.
She had attended the College of Wooster.
She was a member and past president of the Meadville Garden Club and a member and past president of the Meadville Women's Club.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin A. Starn of Orlando, FL and Jon G. of Starn of Somerset; a sister, Irene Mosher of Wooster, OH; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Rose and two brothers, Chester Rose and William Rose.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Barberton Cemetery, Barberton, OH.
