S. T. Jenkins

S. T. Jenkins, 53, of Meadville, died at his home early Sunday morning, December 7, 1969.

He was born in Alabama, June 10, 1916, a son of Griffin and Ethel Dennis Jenkins.  He married Mrs. Bertha Harris Hedrick February 25, 1955.  He was employed as a grinder for Abex Corp. for 19 years.

Mr. Jenkins was a deacon of St. John's Baptist Church, a veteran of World War II with service in the Army's 3146th Quartermaster Company, and was a member of Giblim Masonic Lodge 29.

Surviving are his widow; a stepdaughter, Mrs. James (Mary) Hedrick of Elizabeth, NJ; two sisters, Mrs. Jake (Lulu) Overstreet and Mrs. Willie (Callie) Goodrich, both of St. Louis, MO; a brother, George Dennis of Chicago; two step-granddaughters, Phyllis and Diane Hedrick, both of Elizabeth; a step-grandson, Larndo Hedrick of Meadville, and several aunts and uncles.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
