Sandra Sue Smith

Mrs. Sandra Sue Smith, 19, a resident since April of Madrid, Spain, where her husband has been stationed at Torre Jon Air Force Base, died Saturday, June 5, 1976, after a sudden illness.

She was born in Meadville, October 22, 1956, daughter of Alfred J. and Catherine Neff Castile.  She married J. Burke Smith, April 8, 1976.  Mrs. Smith was employed for two years as office secretary for the Department of Special Education of the Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit at Edinboro.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a 1974 graduate of Maplewood West High School, Guys Mills, and a majorette in the Maplewood Tiger Band.

Survivors include her husband; her parents of Meadville; a sister, Judy Ann Castile and a brother, Dennis Castile, both of Meadville; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Autumn Neff Theuret of Meadville and her paternal grandparents, Alma and Gertrude Castile of Guys Mills.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
