Sara Eleanor Flaugh, 81, of Meadville, a teacher, died Saturday, July 20, 1991, at her residence following a period of failing health.
She was born in East Fairfield Township, September 9, 1909, a daughter of Fred E. and Amy A. Freyermuth Flaugh.
She taught in Meadville and Crawford County schools, retiring after 46 years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution; Business and Professional Women, Meadville Women's Club; national, state and Crawford County Assn. of Retired Teachers and the Alpha Gamma chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma sorority.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. James D. (Freda) Aley of Hartstown and Frances Peterson of Meadville; a brother, Fred M. Flaugh of Garden Grove, CA; seven nieces and nephews; nineteen great-nieces and great-nephews; and thirteen great-great-nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Cochranton Cemetery.
