Sarah Jane Armstrong

Mrs. Sarah Jane Armstrong, 91, widow of Robert Armstrong, died Friday, September 1, 1939, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Daisy A. Daniels of Center Street, Meadville, after an illness of several months.

Mrs. Armstrong was born in Plum Township, Venango County, where she resided all her life until about three years ago, when she came to the home of her daughter.  She was for many years a member of the Chapmanville Methodist Church.

Besides her daughter, she is survived by four granddaughters, Mrs. Wesley Williams of Titusville, Mrs. Fred Hedgelin of Grove City, Mrs. Harry Grove of Erie and Mrs. Harold Hurd of Erie; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home with interment in Sunville Cemetery, Venango County.
