Sarah Ortman Buchanan

Mrs. Sarah Ortman Buchanan, died Monday, October 22, 1956, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Forest Keister in Niagara Falls, NY, after a short illness.

A daughter of the late Charles H. and Sarah Lashley Ortman, she spent her childhood in Pittsburgh and later moved to Meadville.  She was a clerk in the state health office in the Market House.

She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Friendly Sisters Class and Women's Missionary Society of the church.

Surviving, in addition to her daughter, are a sister, Mrs. Harold Shadley of Conneaut Lake; three brothers, Lutellus of Meadville, Charles of Meadville and Edgar of Albuquerque, NM; and two grandchildren.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
