Susanne B. Dick

Susanne B. Dick, 85, of 224 N. Main St., Meadville, died Thursday, June 17, 2004 at Meadville Medical Center.

She was born December 12, 1918 in Meadville, a daughter of the late Jerome Benjamin and Susie Dowdell Brewer.  She married H. Kendal Dick October 23, 1954 and he preceded her in death March 12, 1997.

She was a graduate of the Meadville Public Schools.  She was a 1940 graduate of Allegheny College and received her Master’s degree from Allegheny in 1941.  She worked for Avtex for 37 years in the industrial relations department, retiring in 1979 as a personnel psychometrist.  She was a member of the Meadville Women’s Club, Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at Allegheny, and former member of the board of directors of the Fairview-Fairmont Housing Corp.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Meadville where she was a former Elder and Trustee.

Survivors include 3 cousins, Howard Yocum of Erie, Linda Trumpore of Monroe, OH and Lansing Dowdell of New York; 1 niece, Nancy Hoerner of New Jersey and 1 sister-in-law, Joyce Dick of New Jersey.

Calling hour will Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, 890 Liberty St., Meadville.  The funeral service will follow at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Brian K. Jensen, Pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery, Meadville.
