Theresa M. Chase

Theresa M. Chase, 91, of Meadville passed away Tuesday evening June 24, 2025, at Meadville Medical Center. She was born in Windham, Ohio on November 8, 1933, a daughter of Ralsey and Clara (Bowman) Chess.

She was employed at Talon for over 30 years and worked in the cafeteria at Crawford Central School District for many years.

She enjoyed spending time with family, canning, flowers, bird feeding, watching Penguins hockey, playing bingo and she was the best elderberry pie and cinnamon roll maker.

She is survived by two sons, Chuck Walker (Zebbra) of Meadville; Bryan Chase (Donna) of Meadville; a brother, Melvin Chess; eight grandchildren, Tonya Statmiller (Chris), Robert Winger (Rose), William Winger (Sue), Elizabeth Willey (Cody), Lacey Heffern (Trevor), Amy Grove (Brandon), Emilee Clayton, and Erica Clayton; two great grandchildren, Arizona Lambeth (Cory), Nicole Statmiller (Xavier); eight great great grandchildren, Walker, Paisley, Nicolous, Scarlett, Eli, Vincent, Oliver, and Rowan; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Norma L. Walker, two brothers Jim Bowman and Glen Chess.

Family and friends will be received at ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC. 581 CHESTNUT ST. MEADVILLE on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 3:00 – 6:00 PM and a funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM with Pastor Walter Clark, officiating.

Memorials may be made to Kerrtown Community Center, 18834 Hope Street, Meadville PA 16335.

Burial will be private in Greendale Cemetery.
