Tossie D. Hess

Mrs. Tossie D. Hess, 68, wife of Olis C. Hess, of Meadville, died Thursday, January 31, 1963, at the Flickinger Convalescent Home after an illness of eight weeks.

Mrs. Hess was born at Lawford, WV, December 12, 1894, a daughter of Newton and Serusia Clayton Law.  She married Mr. Hess May 30, 1918.  He was a member of Stone Methodist Church and of its Woman's Society of Christian Service; Golden Crown Chapter, Order of Eastern Star; Col. Crawford Chapter, Daughters of American Revolution, and the American Legion Aux.

Surviving are her husband; a son, the Rev. William F. Hess, pastor of North East Methodist Church; a sister, Mrs. Paul Stillings of Mannington, WV; and two granddaughters.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
