Vicky Lynn Baker, age 70, one of the most kind and gentle souls on Earth, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2025, following a 17-year hard-fought battle with cancer.
Vicky brought positive energy wherever she went, finding the good in every person and situation. She fiercely and courageously fought to overcome her illness while continuing to care for and lift those around her, and never once complained. She was devoted to Jesus and truly lived a life that followed His footsteps.
Vicky grew up in New Kensington, graduating from Valley High School in 1973, and lived most of her life in Lower Burrell. She worked as a business manager for Harmarville Rehab/HealthSouth for over 30 years. In 2020, Vicky and her husband Ralph headed north to Espyville, PA, to live a quiet yet active life among an amazingly supportive and loving group of friends. To say she loved gardening is an understatement, as she was one of the most knowledgeable and passionate gardeners around, and her hobby brought her immense joy.
Vicky is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ralph Baker, daughter Erin (Brandon) Baer, granddaughter Samantha Baer, and sister Karen Kaminsky, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded by her parents, John and Joanne Kaminsky, a sister Maribeth Walter, and brother David Kaminsky, and in-laws Howard and Connie Baker.
She will be missed beyond words, but peacefully and joyfully pain-free in heaven. We can honor her memory by showing kindness to everyone around us.
A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC. 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.
