Violet L. Beuchat, 83, formerly of Guys Mills, died at Beverly Healthcare, Meadville, Sunday October 22, 2000.
She was born December 11, 1916, in Titusville, a daughter of John and Mabel Smith Baney. She married William J. Beuchat April 30, 1936.
She attended Titusville Schools. She worked as a sales clerk at the Frenchtown Grocery Store and previously worked at the former Laurel Court Motel, Meadville, in the housekeeping department. She was a member of the Meadville Eagles Aerie No. 429 auxiliary.
She was a member of St. Hippolyte Roman Catholic Church, Frenchtown.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, David L. Beuchat (Jean) of Conneaut Lake and Donald W. Beuchat (Martha) of Meadville; a sister, Geraldine Staub of Titusville; four grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five sisters, Elizabeth Warner, Pauline Antell, Lucille Schenberg, Charlotte Burns and Gladys Beach; and three brothers, George, Edward and Clarence Baney.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in St. Hippolyte Cemetery.
