Violet M. Britton

Mrs. Violet M. Britton, 62, of Meadville, wife of H. Neal Britton, died at Spencer Hospital, Sunday, April 1, 1984, after a brief illness.

She was born in West Mead Townhip, February 5, 1922, a daughter of Edward and Eleanor Chamber Plattner.  She married Mr. Britton February 6, 1943.

She served as a nurse aid in several area hospitals and nursing home and prior to that worked for 28 years at Talon, Inc.  She was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kenton (Nancy) Fowler of Meadville and Sherry Lynn Britton at home; two sons, Douglas L. at home and Neal E. of Meadville; three brothers, Ardie of Frost Proof, FL, Wayne of Maybe MI and Clyde of Ypsilanti, MI; and one grandchild.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Kiser Hill Cemetery.
