Virginia M. “Ginny” Trimble, age 76, of Conneaut Lake, passed away Wednesday afternoon March 25, 2026, in Marquette Hospice House.
She was born in Geneva, PA on August 26, 1949, the daughter of Wayne and Agnes (McFarland) Leach.
She was a 1967 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School, received her bachelor’s degree in education form Edinboro University in 1971, and received her master’s degree in education from Edinboro University in 1974. On October 4, 1991 Ginny married Edgar Glen “Jughead” Trimble, he passed away June 19, 2006.
She was an elementary school teacher at Crawford Central School district for 36 years, retiring in 2007. Through her illness, she has depended upon her faith and a large support group that has included her membership at Trinity United Methodist Church, many nieces and nephews, and some special long-term friends of over fifty years. She was a member of PSEA. During her life, she has enjoyed travel, showed interest in reading, sewing and crafts, doing church volunteer work, helped with the community living Christmas tree, and supported her husband with softball.
She is survived by her step-children, Robert Trimble, Mary Jo Meyers (Ken), Tom Trimble and his daughter Grace Trimble; two sisters, Gloria Wright of Willoughby, OH, Margaret “Peg” Reese (Jon) of Guys Mills; a brother, James Leach (Barb) of Mechanicsville, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Gerald Wayne “Jerry” Leach.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday April 1, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 PM in ROSE AND WAID FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, INC 12422 CONNEAUT LAKE RD., CONNEAUT LAKE. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday April 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Trinity Global Methodist Church 240 N. 3rd Street, Conneaut Lake with Rev. Keith McIIwain, pastor of the church, officiating. Inurnment will be in Espyville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Global Methodist Church 240 N. 3rd Street, Conneaut Lake, PA 16316 0r Hospice of Crawford County 766 Liberty St. Meadville, PA 16335.
