Virginia Rae Burkhardt

Virginia Rae Burkhardt, 92, of Meadville, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Meadville on June 3, 1931, a daughter of Frederick (Red) and Hazel Flower Pendy.  She married Richard B. Burkhardt October 4, 1953.

Virginia was a 1949 graduate of Meadville High School and a graduate of Erie Business School.  She worked at Beneficial Finance Company.  Virginia was very proud of her grandson, Aiden and was blessed to receive loving care from her daughter, Sheila.

Survivors, in addition to her loving husband Dick, include, a son, James Edward Burkhardt of Erie; a daughter, Sheila Morrow of Erie; and a grandson, Aiden P. Morrow (Macy).

Calling hours will be Monday, June 19th from 4-7 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, June 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Community Church, 30 Park Ave., Meadville with Rev. Timothy Solomon, Pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Greendale Cemetery.
