W. Dean Arthurs

W. Dean Arthurs, 67, formerly of Meadville, died Tuesday, December 28, 1954 at Meadville City Hospital following a long illness.

Before his retirement a year ago, he was employed at the local American Brake Shoe CO. plant.  He lived 20 years in Meadville.  He resided the past year with a sister, Mrs. Warren Shearer of Hartstown.

Born in Troy Township, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Arthurs.  He as a veteran of World War I and a member of Meadville Grange and LOO Moose.

Surviving besides the sister are two nieces, Mrs. John Mallery and Mrs. Roy Baker, both of Warren, PA, and a nephew, Thomas A. Shearer of Hartstown.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in East Troy Cemetery, Troy Township.
