L. Wade Horne

L. Wade Horne, age 92, of Atlantic passed away Tuesday evening November 11, 2025, in his residence.

He was born in Conneaut Lake on May 26, 1933, the son of Lyle M. and Mariam (Coulter) Horne.

He was a 1951 graduate of Pymatuning Joint High School and served his country in the United States Army.

Wade married the former Carole Young on October 20, 1956, she passed away January 29, 2025.

He was employed at Trinity Industries, Greenville for 40 years and was also a school bus driver for many years.

He is survived by four children, Daryl Horne of Atlantic, Rod Horne and wife Ann of Espyville, Alan Horne and wife Maggie of Sharpsville, and Kim Mead and husband Randy of Conneaut Lake: three grandchildren, Ken Vakasy, Krista and Dalton Mead, three great-grandsons, Walker Mead, Asher Mead, and Wyatt Vakasy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, Arlen Horne and Gary Horne.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 p.m. at the East Fallowfield Odd Fellows Club, 9375 Atlantic Road, Atlantic, PA.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Rose and Waid Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 12422 Conneaut Lake Road, Conneaut Lake.
