Wade R. Snyder

Wade R. Snyder, 59, of Meadville, died at Mocksville, NC, after a sudden illness Thursday evening, April 25, 1974, shortly after arriving in Mocksville on a business trip.

He was born in Rocky Grove, Venango County, August 21, 1914, a son of Raymond C. and Etta Showers Snyder.  He married Janet Mincher on August 8, 1941.  Mr. Snyder was employed as an engineer by McCrosky Tool Corp.  He was a member of Stone United Methodist Church, Vernon Lions Club and Meadville Elks Lodge.  He attended the University of Cincinnati.

Survivors include his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Miller of New York City and Miss Bethea Snyder at home; two sons, William A. of Jacksonville, FL and Peter D. at home; three sisters, Mrs. Myrna Greenfield of Van, Mrs. Joan Hatton of Cleveland and Mrs. Patricia Turley of Cheswick; two brothers, Robert of Cincinnati and Dale of Franklin and two grandchildren.

A brother, Richard, preceded him in death.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.

Interment was in Franklin Cemetery.
