William D. Sandberg

William D. (Bill) Sandberg, 84, of Conneaut Lake, died Monday, August 1, 2022 at Andover Village, Andover, OH. He was born April 15, 1938 in Meadville, a son of the late Hugo and Frances First Sandberg. He married Joyce Titus September 16, 1961. Bill was a 1956 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School and a graduate of Tri-State College, Angola, IN. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1960 to 1965. Bill worked as an electrician with his father; at Talon for 18 years as head of maintenance; at Port Erie Plastics; at Siemens; before retiring from Dads Pet Products as head of maintenance following 15 years of service. He was also a member of IBEW Local 712. Active in the community, Bill was a former member and past president of Conneaut Lake Borough Council, Conneaut Lake Joint Municipal Water Authority, and member of Pine Masonic Lodge 498, Linesville. Bill was an active member of Lake Lutheran Church. He also dedicated many years coaching baseball from Farm Team to Senior League and was a volunteer driver for the American Cancer Society as well as an avid Steelers and Pirates fan. Survivors, in addition to his loving wife Joyce, include four children, Deborah Harsen (Richard) of Bradford, David Sandberg (Karen) of Meadville, Billy Sandberg (Michael) of Atlanta, GA, and Diane Wilson (George) of Orlando, FL; and five grandchildren, Emily, Ben, Brittany, Becca, and Rachel.
