William Lewis Canfield
July 22, 1870 — August 25, 1959
William Lewis Canfield, 89, of Meadville, died Tuesday, August 25, 1959, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. B. Ernest Marsh of Youngstown, OH, where he had been visiting.
He came to Meadville 30 years ago from New Castle.
He was born in French Creek, NY, July 22, 1870, a son of Lewis and Lovenia (Pettit) Canfield. He was married to Anna B. Pickett who died October 1929.
He was a member of Stone Methodist Church and of the Men's Bible Class of the church.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Marsh are a niece, Mrs. J. D. Sidener of Toledo, OH and two grandchildren.
Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Chautauqua Cemetery.
