William T. Hilton

William (Bill) T. Hilton, 70, of Conneaut Lake, died Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Meadville Medical Center.

He was born September 2, 1944 in Meadville, a son of Albert F. and Marjorie Drake Hilton.

Bill was a 1963 graduate of Conneaut Lake High School.  He worked for the Oakland Beach Water Company where he could often be seen riding his red scooter to read meters.  He also worked for the Conneaut Lake Sewer Authority, Reimanns Marina, was a truck driver, did construction work, and was former owner and operator of the Quaker State Gas Station in Conneaut Lake.

Bill was a member of Conneaut Lake Fire Hall Station 3, Conneaut Lake Park Fire Hall, Hartstown Fire Hall, Linesville VFW Post 7842, and the Hunting and Fishing Club in Meadville.  He loved Conneaut Lake and was known for telling jokes and had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include his significant other, Joyce Trzesniowski of Conneaut Lake and her grandchildren who thought of Bill as their grandpa; two brothers, Bob Hilton and his wife Paula of Hartstown and Fred Hilton and his wife Kelly of Conneaut Lake; a sister, Becky Walls and her husband Bill of Conneautville; an Aunt, Kate Hilton of Conneaut Lake; three nieces, Allison Jones, Cassandra Cassidy, and Julia Hilton; and cousins.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Waid-Coleman Funeral Home, 12422 Conneaut Lake Rd., Conneaut Lake.

The funeral service will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Frailey, Pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Conneaut Lake, officiating.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
