Wilson E. Sayre

Wilson E. Sayre, 87, of Meadville, Vernon Township, died at City Hospital Sunday, January 13, 1985, following a period of failing health.

He was born at Townville, June 24, 1897, a son of George and Bertha Clark Sayre.  He married Opal M. Wilmoth September 14, 1921.

He retired from McCrosky Tool Co. in 1962 and had worked there as a machinist for 20 years.  He was previously employed for 10 years at Talon.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, George E. Sayre of Litchfield, OH; twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marjorie, a son, Eugene and a brother, Duane.

Services were held at Waid Funeral Home.
