Zephra G. Briggs

Zephra G. Briggs, 64, died early Sunday, October 17, 1965, at his home in Meadville.
He was born in Blooming Valley, March 23, 1901, a son of Frank F. and Inez Braymer Briggs. He and the former Bollie Chen were married February 10, 1941.
Mr. Briggs had been employed as a fireman for 18 years by National Bearing Division, American Brake Shoe Co. From 1919 to 1941, he had served as a chief petty officer in the Navy. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Assn.
He is survived by his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Rosie Wong in China; five sisters, Mrs. Leota Ferguson, Mrs. Walter (Gaye) Hotchkin, Mrs. Stanley (Gladness) Cotterell, Mrs. Treva Frye and Mrs. Charles (Estella) Peterman; two brothers, James H. Briggs and John R. Briggs; and four grandchildren.
Service were held at Waid Funeral Home.
Interment was in Blooming Valley Cemetery.
